GETTING TO A CLEAR 'WHY'
HONING YOUR PURPOSE, VISION, MISSION AND VALUES
Your Purpose sits at the centre of everything you do as an organization. It sums up why you do what you do, which allows your team and wider stakeholders internally and externally to get a clear sense of who you are and why you are in business.
From your Purpose, you would typically then set out 'What' you are looking to do (your Vision) and 'How' you are planning to do it (your Mission).
Once set, you would then set out the values and behaviors people can expect when they work for, or engage with you. Many leaders set these out when they first launch. But over time they can become jaded, less relevant or out of step with the culture that actually exists on the ground.
All organizations want to be seen as having a clear Purpose, being a great place to work and a pleasure to engage with.
